To make a Motion:
- Register for Membership (if you are not already a member!)
- Click on one of the “Motions” categories
(either “NVD Organizational” or “Legislative“)
in the sidebar on the right of this screen. - Post your Motion

We currently need someone to make one of the following Motions [Nominations are a kind of Motion - please see:
Motions Defined and Advice On Writing Motions]
- I nominate “so-and-so” to be Mr. Rosen’s Campaign Manager.
- I nominate “so-and-so” to be NVD Information Director
- I nominate “so-and-so” to be NVD Treasurer
- I nominate “so-and-so” to be NVD Assistant WebMaster
To vote, first find the Motion. Either:
- use the “Search” utility at the top of every page; or
- go to the desiried Motions Page
(either “NVD Organizational” or “Legislative“)
and find the Motion on the list.
If the Motion requires a Second and has not been Seconded, you may Second the Motion by publishing a Comment (saying “I Second this Motion.”) in the Comment Box provided below the Motion. The Comment Box may also be used to ask questions or express your opinion about the Motion. Only registered members may publish a Comment.
When the Motion is Seconded, it is immediately slated for a vote. A Vote Box will appear at the top of the published Motion. A closing date for voting will be set by the administrator if a closing date is not specified in the Motion.
Members may use the Voting Box to vote on the Motion at any time until the closing date. Results will be recalculated after every vote is cast, and made available for viewing online at any time.
